In the Zoom format the Safety Hosts are CO-HOSTS. assigned by the Tech Host who HOST.
As CO-HOSTS the Safety Hosts are responsible for supporting the Tech Host and the safety of the meeting by reviewing the online behavior of the meeting participants. A Safety Host may remove or put into the waiting room anyone being inappropriate/crude during the meeting. .
Before the meeting (7:50 AM PST)
• LOG ON to Zoom Meeting
• Tech Host will claim HOST and assign Safety Hosts as CO-HOST
During the meeting
• Safety Hosts will look for any disruptive or inappropriate images on profiles, either on camera or not.

• If something is inappropriate, a Safety Host has the option to put the offending participant into the waiting room or remove them from the meeting completely.

• To PUT IN WAITING ROOM:
- Hover over the individual name in the Participant list and click on MORE/or click on the three dots in the upper right corner of attendee Zoom window and select PUT IN WAITING ROOM.

• To REMOVE attendee:
- Hover over the individual name in the Participant list and click on MORE/or click on the three dots in the upper corner of Zoom window and click REMOVE.
• Safety Hosts should only remove participants who clearly have disrupted the meeting, with offensive, inappropriate audio or visual participation.
• A good tool for monitoring the behavior in meeting is the Hide non-video participants. This option gives the Safety Hosts a smaller pool of participants to watch.

• To HIDE non-video participants click on the grid box VIEW and select HIDE NON-VIDEO PARTICIPANTS
• If members have their cameras on but are not on camera, wait until you have clear visual confirmation of a disruption before removing them the meeting.
